About the Event

Join with OB team colleagues across the state to:

  • Improve analysis and the development of maternal health recommendations through severe maternal morbidly reviews
  • Learn about MCDR recommendations to prevent maternal mortality
  • Increase understanding of new quality metrics
  • Improve insights into trauma informed care and trauma informed self-care

Who should attend: Clinical OB/Labor and Delivery, Physicians, Nurses, Social  Workers, SMM team leads 

Travel Support: AHHA will support two staff from each Alaska facility to attend, contact Debbie Lowenthal (dlowenthal@alaskahha.org) at AHHA for an MOA, or request when registering. 

Hotel Information: We have a block of rooms at the Residence Inn Anchorage Midtown (next to BP Energy Center). Use the group code for a discounted rate at $149 plus taxes, reservation link, book by October 12 for the group rate. 

Registration: Please secure your spot by going to this link: https://learn.dhss.alaska.gov/course/view.php?id=734 and then you will need to "book your spot." If you have not set up a DOH learning system account you will first need to create one. Once you book your seat you will receive an email confirmation and a calendar invitation.

Continuing Education: Completion of this course will provide up to 5.5 CME and 5.5 contact nursing hours. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Alaska Department of Health (DOH), Division of Public Health, and the Alaska Hospital & Healthcare Association. The DOH is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
