FEDERAL
ISSUES
AHHA's partners at the federal level provide resources, track legislation, and share important initiatives on behalf of healthcare entities across the spectrum of care:

Federal healthcare issues encompass a wide range of topics, including funding for programs like Medicaid and Medicare, the impact of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and access to care in underserved areas. Additionally, there are concerns about the growing cost of healthcare, provider shortages, and the need for increased emphasis on prevention and mental health.
AHHA regularly submits comments on proposed federal regulatory changes and/or letters to the Alaska congressional delegation on behalf of hospitals and nursing homes.
