TIPS Training
The Training Infection Prevention through Simulation (TIPS) is a pilot course that will be presented by the TIPS team from the University of Washington. This one day, train-the-trainer course will focus on an experiential learning approach to IPC training and will cover facilitation, implementation, and assessment. The goal of this pilot is to gather subject matter experts to participate in a trial run of the course and provide the UW team with feedback on content, structure, and activities in order to help them shape their program development.
The course will be followed by a reception from 5:00-6:00 pm.
If you are interested in sponsoring this event, please contact dlowenthal@alaskahha.org.

This full day of sessions led by the APIC Midnight Sun Chapter will focus on survey preparedness, dealing with citations, and tentatively a MDRO tabletop exercise.
Travel and Lodging
AHHA will cover the travel and lodging costs for one participant per facility – if others attend, travel costs will be at the facility’s own expense. There is no maximum number from each facility, and all are welcome to attend. If planning to request reimbursement from AHHA for your facility’s participant, you must complete the Travel Authorization Request form as well as review the Travel Authorization Rules found on our member forms page online. All attendees need to make their own travel arrangements and AHHA will reimburse those attendees that have their travel pre-approved.
AHHA has a block of hotel rooms reserved for those attending from out of town at the Residence Inn Anchorage Midtown. The last day to reserve in the block is October 13.
