About the Event

In 2024, hospitals participating in the CMS Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program must begin reporting antibiotic use and resistance data to NHSN. Other facility types, such as nursing homes, may be included in this requirement in the future. The Alaska Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative (A2SC) is partnering with MountainPacific Quality Health to host National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) training sessions, a series of educational sessions to prepare a wide range of facility types for reporting antibiotic use and resistance data to NHSN.

The Alaska Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative is an active partnership of acute care and long-term care facilities dedicated to developing innovative strategies to ensure appropriate antibiotic use. Learn more at alaskahha.org.

"It's worth a shot" is a weekly 30 minute education session hosted by MPQH on infection prevention and other matters. The registration link on this page will register you for the entire series.
