About the Event

In healthcare we often spend more time navigating workarounds than delivering care. It’s time to move from "handling" chaos to eliminating it. Registration is now open for AHHA's 2026 Lean Cohort—a five-part interactive series designed to give you the tools to transform your workflow. This is a great opportunity for individuals or teams working on a project (having a project is helpful, but not mandatory) and it will be recorded for registered participants if you're unable to make all of the sessions.

Why Join the Cohort?

Unlike a standard webinar, this is a hands-on community. We will use consistent, real-world examples to show how Lean tools work in practice, while you apply those same strategies directly to your own facility’s unique challenges. The series will be led by Frances Jones from Strategic Change Services.

  • Build Capacity: Strengthen alignment and learn to lead projects from "messy" to "managed."

  • Targeted Tools: Master a comprehensive toolkit across five sessions, including:

  • Project Scoping: Prioritization Matrix, Stakeholder Analysis, and Voice of the Customer.

  • Workflow Visualization: Process Mapping, Spaghetti Diagrams, and Gemba Walks.

  • Data & Design: SIPOC and Data Collection Planning.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Fishbone Diagrams and Pareto Charts to identify the "why" behind the "what."

  • Sustainability: Standard Work and Daily Management tools to make improvements stick.

  • Cross-Team Alignment: Strengthen communication and collaborative problem-solving between hospital and long-term care settings.
