About the Event
This series will explore assessment and emergency care considerations for the rural pediatric patient. Throughout this interactive experience, participants will be engaged in several learning opportunities, case study discussions/reflections, common pediatric illness/emergencies and reviewing priority interventions for various situations to provide the rural nurse with a solid foundation of core principles and standards of care and practice in caring for the pediatric patient.
It is important to recognize that pediatric patients are not little adults. This course is designed to review the anatomy and physiology considerations that differentiate the assessment of pediatric patients from that of caring for the adult patient.
