About the Event
AHHA Rural Nurse Education 2024-25
In 2023, AHHA conducted a member survey on specialty nurse training needs. In response to collected feedback, we have curated a pilot year of programming serving nurses in critical access and small, rural hospitals, especially newly graduated nurses or nurses who are new to the rural setting. Four initial trainings are available. AHHA’s workforce development contract funds allow us to offer these trainings at no cost to our members. Note that during the registration process, nurses will need to provide verification of approval to take the course from their supervisor or facility nurse leader.
NOVICE TO EXPERT: CLINICAL THINKING & REASONING
Content in each module is based on evidence-based, costeffective, and clinically relevant practices. The learning modules focus on mission-critical content and are highly interactive. NovE-Cases accompany the lessons to compel learners to use knowledge as it is gained, develop clinical thinking and reasoning, use good clinical judgment, and ensure safety in high risk and context-specific situations. Learners are actively engaged to be immersed in each situation to think and act like a real clinician.
