
2025 HEALTHCARE WORKFORCE SUMMIT
AHHA’s Healthcare Workforce Summit on October 16, 2025 brought association members and key partners together to collaborate, share insights and innovations, and discuss strategies for strengthening Alaska's healthcare workforce.
Participation included representatives from hospitals, nursing homes, tribal health organizations, universities, Area Health Education Centers (AHEC), the Alaska Department of Health, the Alaska Department of Labor, the Alaska Workforce Alliance, the Alaska Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce, the Anchorage School District, and the Alaska Community Health Workers Network.
Session topics centered around the workforce pipeline, career pathways and professional development, and practices that support worker wellness and threats to staff retention.
The Healthcare Workforce Summit is subsidized with funding from the State of Alaska Department of Health.
