About the Event

AHHA's 2025 Quality Summit is a full day, in-person event (Tuesday April 8 | 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) that will provide learning and networking opportunities for quality leaders, CNO/DONs, and nursing leaders from hospitals and nursing homes. The following day (Wednesday April 9 | 9:00 a.m.-noon) the LTC and Nurse Leadership Committees will convene.  Download the AHHA Quality Summit Agenda.


Speakers & Sessions:

  • Abigail Echo-Hawk, M.A., Director, Urban Indian Health Institute: Abigail is a leading voice in the Indigenous data movement and will speak on culturally sensitive data sharing.

  • Dr. Angelique Ramirez, MD, and Jennifer T. Schuler, BS, MT(ASCP), CPHQ, will share Foundation Health Partners' journey to excellence with the Virginia Mason Institute.

  • Danette Schloeder DNP, RNC-OB, C-EFM, C-ONQS, Providence Alaska Medical Center: Danette will share a patient safety story titled " Why Every Patient Matters."

  • Ellen Evans, MSN, MPH, CPHQ, CJCP, CPPS, Director of Accreditation and Patient Safety, Northside Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia: Ellen will discuss how human factors analysis can prevent errors and patient harm.

  • Debra Shroyer BSN, RN, Senior Project Manager, Quality Improvement, Providence Alaska Medical Center: Debra will present innovative ways to reduce pressure ulcers through assessment and data reviews using technology.

  • Adam Harris, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, CPHQ, CCMSCP, Director of Accreditation and Patient Safety, Alaska Native Medical Center: Adam will provide insights on navigating the survey process and being prepared for your regulatory survey.

AHHA will provide travel support for three people from each Critical Access or small/rural hospital/LTC to attend. This includes one Quality Leader and the Nurse Leadership and Long-term Care Committee Members. After you register you will see a link to request travel support. We will also follow up with everyone that checks they will need travel support on the registration form.
