IRRL Information Webinars

Cornell University is pleased to announce the availability of a new, evidence-based program designed to prevent and treat resident-to-resident conflict and aggression in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The Improving Resident Relationships in Long-Term Care (IRRL) Program is available free of charge, and involves in-service training sessions, as well as an opportunity to use the skills acquired. Topics include identifying resident-to-resident aggression, understanding its causes, and a step-by-step method to intervene when aggression occurs. All materials, including presentation slides and training videos, are provided to participating facilities at no cost. 

Informational webinars will be offered on April 27th and 28th. These sessions will cover the program rationale, components, and planning issues. Follow-up “train-the-trainer” webinars will be offered in June to interested individuals. For more information and to register, please go to http://citra.human.cornell.edu.
